What We Believe

Morris Memorial Baptist Church is an independent, locally governed, body of baptized
believers who have come together in obedience of Christ to carry out the
dictates of the New Testament. We practice personal separation on the
basis of the Word of God.

Morris Memorial Baptist Church has but one Head: our Lord Jesus Christ. We endeavor
to acknowledge His Lordship in every respect. All of our services focus
on His rightful place as Head of the Body of Christ.

We believe that a visible church of Christ is a congregation of believers
associated in the faith and fellowship of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Holy Bible was written by the hands of human penmen,
and that each of it’s WORDS  are inspired by God Himself.

We believe that the the King James Bible is the true preserved Word of
God, with no errors or contradiction in scripture.

We believe in one God, eternally existent in 3 persons, Father, Son, and
Holy Spirit.

We believe God revealed Himself to man through our Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in the deity of our Lord; born of a virgin, His perfect life,
vicarious death, burial and  bodily resurrection.

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ can wash us from our sins in His Blood
and that all sinners have access to God through His Son, Jesus Christ.

We believe salvation is a free gift of God offered by His grace and
received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, plus nothing.

We believe in the Pre-Millennial doctrine of the Return of Christ.

We believe in eternal security in Christ.

We believe that God loves us and has a personal interest and plan for
each one of us. He is not willing that anyone should perish but wants all
of us to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. We take comfort
that He not only knows us, but loves us.

We believe that Heaven is the fulfillment of every human need.

We are an Independent, Pre-Millennial, King James Bible Believing, Bible Preaching, Christ Honoring Singing, Old-Fashioned Baptist Church. At Morris Memorial you will find that we are "A Church Where Everybody Is Somebody And Jesus Is Everything!"
